Export Case Events to Your Calendar App

Create named iCalendar feeds from Events & Calendar and subscribe in Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.

Calendar feeds let you subscribe to MyLawyerLink case events from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that supports iCalendar URLs. Events sync automatically when your calendar app refreshes the feed.

This is different from client reminders, which send SMS or email to clients. Calendar feeds are for your personal or firm calendar subscription.

Create a feed

  1. Open Events & Calendar (/events).
  2. Click Export Calendar to open the Calendar Feeds modal.
  3. Click + New Feed.
  4. Enter a name (for example "Court dates only" or "All case events").
  5. Optionally filter by event types. Leave types empty to include every event type.
  6. Save the feed.

Copy the subscription URL

  1. In the Calendar Feeds modal, select your feed.
  2. Click Copy URL (or reveal the token if prompted).
  3. The URL follows this pattern: /api/calendar/feed/{userId}/{token} โ€” use the full HTTPS link shown in the app.

Treat the URL like a password. Anyone with the link can read events on that feed.

Add to your calendar app

Google Calendar

Settings โ†’ Add calendar โ†’ From URL โ†’ paste the feed URL.

Apple Calendar

File โ†’ New Calendar Subscription โ†’ paste the URL.

Outlook

Add calendar โ†’ Subscribe from web โ†’ paste the URL.

Calendar apps poll feeds on their own schedule (often every few hours). New and updated events appear after the next refresh.

Multiple feeds

Create separate feeds when you want different event sets in different calendars:

  • One feed filtered to court dates and trials
  • Another with all event types for a master view
  • A third for deadlines only

Each feed has its own URL and name.

What appears in subscribed events

Feed events include:

  • Event title, date, and time (or all-day flag)
  • Case and client context in the description
  • Location โ€” physical address or video/conference link when set on the event
  • 15-minute reminder for timed events

Updates and cancellations sync when the case event changes in MyLawyerLink.

Manage or revoke feeds

  • Edit or delete feeds from the same modal on /events.
  • Team owners and admins can revoke feeds team-wide from /account/teams/[id] (Calendar Feeds section) if a URL is compromised.

Regenerating or deleting a feed invalidates the old URL โ€” you will need to re-subscribe in each calendar app.

Tips

  1. Name feeds clearly โ€” you may accumulate several URLs over time.
  2. Use type filters โ€” keeps personal phone calendars focused on hearings vs. internal deadlines.
  3. Do not share feed URLs in client emails โ€” use client reminders or portal calendar instead.
  4. Expect polling delay โ€” if you just created an event, give your calendar app time to refresh.
