By accessing or using MyLawyerLink ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
By creating an account, you acknowledge and agree that you will receive emails and text messages from MyLawyerLink for account-related communications, service updates, security alerts, and other important information. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time through your account settings.
2. Description of Service
MyLawyerLink is a legal practice management platform that provides tools for managing clients, cases, documents, time entries, invoices, events, and communications. The Service is designed for use by legal professionals and law firms.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and update your account information to keep it accurate
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. Subscription and Payment

4.2 Payment
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected. Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.
4.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
4.4 Refunds
Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis. Generally, refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods, but we may consider refunds in exceptional circumstances.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Violate or infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service

The Service may integrate with third-party services (such as Twilio for communications, Stripe for payments). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYLAWYERLINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyLawyerLink, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account through your account settings.
12.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may delete your account and data, subject to our data retention policies and legal obligations.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MyLawyerLink operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
